Good morning, and Merry Christmas!
Since I was a child, Christmas morning has always been special to me. It was never about the toys or gifts under the tree. It was about the joy and happiness that took over me on that one day of the year. It was like, no matter what happened yesterday, today was special. Before the gifts were opened and the gathering to celebrate at the table, there was something so serene that filled me all the way up. I think of that first Christmas morning and am thankful for that baby who was born so that I might have eternal life. As we open our gifts today, let us remember the greatest gift, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. I pray that this Christmas morning, our hearts will be filled with joy, our homes with love, our lives with hope, and our nation with peace. Merry Christmas!
