Productive Idleness
This is the day that the Lord has made,
Perfectly pleasant and full of promise.
Will I squander it in idleness?
Or do something productive?
Maybe I will...
Clean the house that the busyness of other things kept me from, or
Paint the front porch chair yellow or red.
Or maybe I will...
Enjoy this day in productive idleness.
After all, it is the day that the Lord has made.
Shouldn't I just be glad and rejoice in it?
